Pastor Don Wink
Pastor Wink's first attempt at adult life was as a marketing representative for Control Data Corporation, after graduating from Southern Methodist University and Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He continued to work in sales for technology companies until entering the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and has now been out of the field for so long that he requires assistance to operate his computer.
At Atonement, his primary responsibilities are "leading and feeding," that is, leading a very able staff and elected volunteers, and carrying most of the teaching schedule during Sunday services. He takes on the role of "player-coach" in both settings, being "on the field" while at the same time finding and encouraging others to use their gifts and energies toward Atonement's mission, vision, and values.
Pastor Wink is married to Joy Wink. and they have three young children; Natalie, Joshua and Olivia. When he is not helping them with their homework, musical instruments, or driving to one thing or another, he enjoys cooking, maintaining health and fitness (especially through golf), music, travel, and friendship building.
