Lay people work to provide various programs and forums aimed at holistically meeting the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of our members. This supports the educational, healing and caring missions of our church.

- Alcoholics Anonymous. We provide meeting space for local AA group meetings and an open AA meeting during an evening.
- Baby Basket Ministry. This ministry provides a basket with useful items that is presented to the parents to celebrate the birth of their new baby.
- Bereavement Ministry. This ministry strives to give comfort and care to individuals or families who have lost a loved one.
- Blood Pressure Sundays. Volunteer nurses take blood pressures two Sundays in each Church year.
- Care Notes. Small booklets are made available to the congregation. Topics and titles vary from seasonal material to teen concerns.
- Prayer Tree. This is a dedicated group of persons (limbs on a tree) who pray for a variety of individuals needs. Pastors and the prayer tree coordinator initially take prayer requests which are then passed on to members of the Prayer Tree. This is a good way to volunteer at home.
- Public Access Defibrillation Ministry. This ministry has at least thirty members of Atonement that have been trained in CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and the use of an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) should the need arise.
- Stephen Ministry. These are specially trained lay caregivers who support individuals in the congregation during their time of need.
- Sunshine Ministry. This ministry sends cards or notes to members who are ill or hospitalized and to those who are celebrating special occasions.
- Support Team Ministry. These teams provide a coordinated and intentional way for congregations to respond to real life needs of individuals and families.
