THE BOARD OF WORSHIP & MUSIC provides all the support functions necessary for quality worship services. It functions to convey the Christian message through visual and artistic elements in the congregation's worship space and also works in many behind-the-scenes capacities to ensure an attractive environment that is welcoming and inspirational for members and guests.

Acolytes
Confirmation program students are required to participate as acolytes at worship services. Duties include lighting and extinguishing candles, receiving the offering and assisting in communion. Students are trained and serve approximately four times per year as scheduled by the coordinator.
Altar Guild
Members of this group prepare the chancel for worship, communion and special events. They also care for the altar linens. Schedules for service are determined by members of the group.
Assisting Ministers
This is probably the most visible lay position in the worship setting and requires a comfort level with high visibility as well as the ability to speak out loud in a clear manner to proclaim God's Word. They also assist at services by helping distribute communion, reading the lessons, and offering prayers. They may choose to do any or all of the above and may serve as often as they wish. Training is available.
The robes which Worship Assistants wear need to be laundered periodically. This is a very easy job, the robes can be washed in your home washing machine and need little or no pressing.
Technical Arts MinistryThis vital group includes volunteer technicians who run our sound board and record services or projection equipment for displaying videos, lyrics and other visual service elements during worship. Training is provided and commitment is generally once every three to four weeks. Additionally, volunteers help to create graphics for announcements, worship backgrounds and other projection uses in the church. For more information, please contact

Audio Team
The audio team is a group of volunteers that provide technical support for worship services and other church-related events by planning for and executing any sound related elements. The team focuses on making the audio run seamlessly to support and enhance any services and events. This is accomplished through planning and rehearsing with the different teams and participants in the church. In addition to running the sound board they are also responsible for setting up and tearing down audio gear used during these events and for recording the service, extracting the sermon, converting it to mp3 format and forwarding it to the website coordinator for posting on our church website. Training is provided and commitment is approximately once every three to four weeks.
Visual Team
The visual team includes a group of volunteers that provide technical support for worship services and other church related events by planning for and executing any visual elements. The team consists of computer/projector operators, slide show programmers, video technicians, and video editors. The camera operators video tape events. Programmers create presentations that consist of song lyrics, text, and graphics that enhance worship and other events. This is an exciting, ever-growing, and ever-changing ministry.
Ushers
Ushers are scheduled to serve a month at a time and may serve as many months as they wish. They arrive half an hour before service time, greet people as they enter the sanctuary, distribute bulletins and assist members and visitors as needed. They collect the offering and guide the congregation to the altar for communion.
Worship Environment
This group adds visually to the worship experience by creating banners, artwork, and displays that reflect the liturgical season.
