The "Martin Luther Moment" videos were created by Pastor Paul as teaching tools used in worship for the 6-part message series from September 19 to October 24 called "Reformation Then, Reformation Now." They were also meant to include a "word of encouragement" from Brother Martin himself (portrayed by an actor from the congregation) to "continue reading the Bible" as we began a process to read the Bible in 90 days.
These short movies were intended to be amusing and entertaining while also providing important facts about Luther's beliefs and his understanding of scripture. The first three videos outline his understanding of salvation—that i, how it is we become saved in Jesus Christ which was a departure from the church doctrine of his day. The last three cover his theories on how one becomes to know and follow God through specific processes of conversion.
