  • Capital Investment Committee.  A program of internal borrowing from members and friends through demand notes to finance the construction of improvements to the church.

  • Commitment Sunday.   Each fall the board asks the congregation to make a financial commitment to the ministries of the church for the upcoming year.  Commitment Sunday is preceded by a period in which the congregation is asked to reflect and pray about the use of their resources in the context of God's providing love.  The Board of Stewardship then compiles the response in order to assist the council in determining the scope of ministry that will be possible for the coming year.

  • Designated Funds.   Frequently, members wish to give a gift for a specific purpose in addition to their stated commitment to the operating budget.  For your convenience, additional green envelopes are provided in the envelope boxes for this purpose.  The complete list of Designated Fund is as follows: Building Funds, Construction, PADS, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment, Debt Retirement,  Organ Fund,  High School Fund, Middle School Fund, Sunday School Fund, Vacation Bible Camp, Holy Family School,  Evangelical Lutheran Church Association (ELCA), World Hunger Appeal, Pastor's Discretionary Fund, Project Dignity, Miscellaneous Memorials, Facilities Renovation & Improvements, and Discover Faith Works.  This is a process which has as its goal, the involvement of every member of the congregation in some form of Christian ministry, and also in intentional efforts to grow spiritually.

  • Endowment Fund.  The Ailabouni Endowment Fund for Atonement enhances the long-term mission of our church, and is available to our members as an instrument of asset stewardship. The Fund is managed by the Endowment Fund Committee which meets quarterly, and semi-annually reports its activities to the Congregation Council.  Further details are available in the Ailabouni Endowment Fund brochure located in the library.

  • Offering Envelopes and Simply Giving.  This board is responsible for gathering the gifts of the congregation for the purpose of doing the Lord's work.  They provide offering envelopes for weekly and special giving.  These envelopes are numbered so that the financial office can keep track of individual giving and provide quarterly statements for your records.  For those who prefer the convenience of automated, electronic transfer of funds, the Simply Giving service is available as an alternative to weekly check writing.  You select the amount and frequency of your contribution, and Simply Giving does the rest.  Contact the church financial office if you are interested in this service.
